What is Bauerle Ranch like?
Bauerle Ranch is a master-planned community built by D.R. Horton and established in 2002. In part because it is so new, Bauerle Ranch has a feeling of a tidy, well cared for neighborhood.
Though it could certainly be assumed that the Bauerle Ranch real estate market targets families with their relatively low prices for bigger houses set on bigger lots, South Austin has always been a draw for all sorts of homeowners: singles, young couples, empty nesters, and families alike.
What kind of houses and lots are in Bauerle Ranch?
All of the houses in Bauerle Ranch were built between the years 2002 and 2008. Though no two bedroom homes were built there, three and four bedroom floor plans appear to be about equally available to those looking to purchase there.
Square footages are fairly large, ranging from 1,700 square feet to over 3,000 square feet. All homes in the area are built on a slab foundation.

But Baurele Ranch homes are situated in a community all its own—South Austin. Students living in Bauerle Ranch may attend nearby Austin Independent School District Schools: Kocurek Elementary, Bailey Middle School or Akins High School.
In 2007 Texas Education Agency accountability ratings, Akins High and Kocurek Elementary received “Academically Acceptable” status, meeting state standards. Bailey Middle School exceeded standards and was granted “Recognized” status.
