Though many homes in Davenport Ranch date back to the early 1980s, building here has been much more concentrated in recent years. As a result, much of what appears on the market is newer construction.
The square footages are grand—homes under 3,000 square feet are rare. And a few even approach the 10,000 square feet mark. Because of their size, three bedroom homes are much rarer than four, five, and even six bedroom floor plans.

Built between the Austin Country Club to the north, the Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve to the south, and Lake Austin accessible from both the east and the west, there is plenty to do without even leaving the area.
Austin’s best shopping can be reached by traveling up Highway 360 to high-end shops at The Arboretum, Davenport Village, or (a bit further to the north) to The Domain.Or, just as easily, residents can go the opposite direction and head into downtown Austin, where all of the city’s museums, community gardens, restaurants and nightlife are readily accessible.
What about the schools in Davenport Ranch?
Though still in Austin, Davenport Ranch is served by the Eanes Independent School District, which is based in the Westlake community of Austin.

Specifically, students living in Davenport Ranch will attend one of the following: Bridgepoint Elementary, Hill Country Middle School, West Ridge Middle School, or Westlake High School.
Bridgepoint Elementary, Hill Country Middle School, and West Ridge Middle School all received Exemplary status (the highest possible rating) in 2007 mandatory Texas Education Agency ratings. Westlake High School received the second-highest rating—Recognized status.
